On October 25, 2012, the Department of Health approved the legal preservation of specimens for study. After the specimens are gathered for study in the human biobank, the participants' personal information is built and used with complete physical isolation and its information system is not connected to the Internet.

 

 

The hospital's human biobank preserves legally a variety of human specimens related to clinical care and with research value. The Executive Yuan's Ministry of Health and Welfare's on-site verification can ensure the operational standard of the biobank, offer standardized specimens, create the research platform of the hospital, and enhance the hospital's research performance across the world.
